Cabinet of Ministers to increase excise duty for petrol?

The initiative contained in the government bill No 5079, registered in the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukraine to increase the duty on petrol. The Cabinet of Ministers also suggests increasing the excise duty for Euro-4,5 compliant diesel fuel by 2% (by EUR 2 per a ton) up to EUR 100 per a ton, Euro-2,3 compliant diesel fuel – by 4.7% (by EUR 6 per a ton) up to EUR 134 per a ton.

The document also considers an introduction of excise duty for LNG, amounting to EUR 8 per a ton, while the duty on liquefied gas (mixture of propane and butane, or propane) is planned to be increased by 13.6% (by EUR 6 per a ton) up to EUR 52 per a ton.
