“Ukrtransgas” loaded more gas than last year but less than necessary

“Ukrtransgas” has announced that as of September 15th, 16.3 bln cubic m of gas had been loaded into the underground gas storage facilities. According to the company, it is by 14% more than in 2013.

According to the Central Dispatch Department of “Ukrtransgas”, fuel was loaded into 6 storage facilities. The best level of gas at the storage facilities before the start of the heating season is 20 bln cubic m.

The Ukraine holds the largest underground gas storage facilities in Europe but they are loaded by only 51%, the chairman of the company’s Board, I. Prokopov said.
