The exploration of new solid commercial minerals deposits in Kazakhstan stalls because of the absence of funding, the Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas Uzakbai Karabalin reported, speaking at the meeting of the Government in Astana.

“80% of the solid commercial minerals geological base in the republic were explored and registered in the Soviet time. Unfortunately, today all advanced subsoil study is stalled by the problems of financing,” – Karabalin said, presented the project “Concepts of efficient management of natural resources and use of revenues from the materials sector” before the Government.
