The Donetsk People’s Republic: the Ukraine not to be able to provide itself with coal without Donbass

Semyon Kuzmenko, director of the Ministry of Transport of the unrecognized Donetsk People’s Republic said that the Ukraine wouldn’t be able to provide itself with light and heat without Donbass coal.

Kuzmenko stressed that in terms of power supply the Donetsk republic didn’t depend on the Ukraine any more. There is more than enough coal in the region, local heating stations work in normal mode, and gas comes from Russia, as well as electricity. Residents of the Donetsk republic shouldn’t fear the coming winter – it will be warm in their homes, the Minister promises.
