Kazakhmys shareholders vote in favour of the group's reorganization.

According to the results of the unscheduled general meeting of the shareholders all resolutions in relation to the proposed restructuring of the Kazakhmys group were approved by the shareholders, Today.kz reports with the reference to the company.

Earlier it was reported that the reorganization of the Kazakhmys group involves the transfer of the Karaganda, Balkhash and Zhezkazgan production sites mature assets to Cuprum Holding, owned by Vladimir Kim and Edward Ogai.

As part of a public company, which upon successful completion of the transaction will be renamed to KAZ Minerals PLC, are four operating mines and three processing plants in the East Kazakhstan region, three growth projects - Boschekul, Aktogai and Koksai, and the Bozymchak mine in Kyrgyzstan.
