Novatek: U.S. sanctions don’t prevent to work

U.S. sanctions don’t interfere the activities of Novatek and don’t concern the assets and shares of the company, the largest Russian independent gas producer reports.

On Wednesday, the U.S. authorities extended sanctions against Russia. The U.S. President Barack Obama explained this decision by the fact that Moscow, according to Washington, didn’t take steps to resolve the situation in the Ukraine. Rosneft and Novatek were included in the sanctions list from Russian fuel and energy sector. They, in particular, will be denied to have access to the U.S. financial markets and American entities and individuals will be prohibited to grant loans to these companies for more than 90 days.
