The implementation of “Shakh-Deniz” enables Georgia to get extra gas volumes, Minister of Energy

The implementation of the second stage of the gas condensate deposit “Shakh Deniz” development in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea will lead to the economic growth of Georgia and an extra gas volume,received for its transportation, the Minister of Energy of Georgia K.Kaladze said.

According to him, Shakh Deniz will spend $1 billion for  operations on the territory of Georgia (near Ninotsminda) within the framework of the implementation of the project. It will be possible to transport extra 16 billion cubic meters of gas via the South Caucasus gas pipeline as a result.
