Construction of a petrochemical complex starts in Atyrau region of Kazakhstan

The complex will cost 9 billion USD.

The Kazakh Minister for Oil and Gas, Uzakbai Karabalin has already visited the construction site. The railroad branch and the motorway have already been laid to the site. The first phase of construction will start in autumn. This phase presupposes foundation of polypropylene production (500 thousand tons per year). The value makes up 304.5 billion tenge.
