Severstal to increase supplies to St.Petersburg plant of Hyundai

Severstal will deliver over 2 thousand tons of rolled metal to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Russia in August-September 2011. It was stated before that Severstal concluded an agreement with Hyundai on the supply of 3 thousand tons in April-September 2011, the Finmarket agency writes.

As they stated in Severstal, the in increase of supply is due to the positive results of a trial forging of a face plates of the top of Hyundai Solaris from cold-rolled metal stock of the Cherepovetsk metallurgical combine (a part of Severstal Russian Steel). External panels and the inner part of the trunk will be forged from the cold-rolled and zinc-coated roll stock. Besides, hot-rolled pickled metal products supply is planned.

As it is said in a new report of the agency AVTOSTAT on foreign brands located in Russia, Hyundai has 45% , inclusive due to own forging of body parts at the enterprise itself.
