Agreements on the reverse of gas supplies from Poland, Hungary and Slovakia comply with the legislation, the EC’s press secretary, Sabine Berger EC stated.
Today the Ukraine can now buy gas from Poland and Hungary, from the autumn reverse gas supplies from Slovakia will be possible, she said. "The option of reverse flows is completely legally justified," - said Berger.
On Monday, after a long and fruitless negotiations on gas prices and debt repayment, Gazprom switched the Ukraine to prepayment for the supply of "blue fuel", and the supplies were reduced to zero. In response Kiev announced its intention to significantly increase the reverse gas supplies from Europe.
