Gazpromneft-Khantos to activate geological exploration

Gazpromneft-Khantos successfully implements the program on increase of resource base, which must provide significant growth of hydrocarbon reserves and determine perspectives of their development in the coming years.

At present, the drilling of prospecting and appraisal wells takes place at two fields of Gazpromneft-Khantos. The appraisal well at the Zimnee deposit (the Uvat district of the Tyumen region) will allow the company to determine predicted extension of oil productive area within the eastern boundary of the licensed area. By results of the first appraisal well drilling at the Salym license area (group of Salym fields, the Nefteyugansk district of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug) perspectives of resource growth in the next 3-5 years will be defined, as well as prospects for the further development.
