Rosgeologiya completes geophysical studies in Anabaro-Laptev area

​Rosgeologiya has started the final stage of geophysical works at the perspective for hydrocarbons Anabaro-Laptev area.

The studies are held by the specialists of the branch of VNIIGeofizika JSC (Rosgeologiya) – “Spetsgeofiziki” on the account of the federal budget by the state contract signed in November 2014 between the holding and the department for subsoil use in the Central Siberia district.

The main goal of the project is the assessment of perspectives of oil and gas bearing of the Anabaro-Laptev area and discovery of new areas of possible oil and gas accumulation. The obtained geophysical materials might serve the basis for recommendations for licensing of the sites.

The studied area occupied 50,000 sq km. it is located in the Anabarsky Oleneksky and Bulunsky districts of Sakha and Taymyr municipal district of the Krasnoyarsk region. The depth of studied makes up 8 km.

In 2016 it is planned to hold 565 linear km of 2D MOGT seismic survey, 607 linear km of electric exploration and 1,068 linear km of gravimeter survey. The final report will be ready by the end of 2016.
