Bulgaria intervenes on behalf of "South Stream".

The European Parliament called upon the EU authorities to stop the construction of "South Stream", controlled by "Gazprom". But one of the participants of the project - Bulgaria - threatens that it requires compensation from Brussels in case the pipeline is not built, RBC daily states.

Yesterday the European Parliament called upon the EU authorities to immediately impose sanctions on Russian energy companies operating in the European market, to halt the construction of the gas pipeline "South Stream", and to review and possibly suspend all agreements with Russia, according to RIA Novosti.
