Gazprom may launch the gas pipeline Power of Siberia in Q4

Gazprom plans to launch the gas pipeline Power of Siberia in the fourth quarter of 2016, although this launch was scheduled for 2017, the Gazprom’s Deputy CEO Vitaly Markelov reported in interview to the magazine Gazprom.

At the end of the last year, the name of the gas pipeline Yakutia-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok was changed to the main gas pipeline Power of Siberia. The gas pipeline may transport gas not only from the Chayanda deposit, but also from other fields of the Yakutia gas production centre. Its total capacity will make up 32.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The gas pipeline laying-out will be parallel to the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean oil pipeline.
