Belarus renews oil products supply to Russia with the recovery of its economic efficiency

Belarus will renew the supply of oil products to Russia with the recovery of their economic efficiency, the chairman of Belneftechem, I. Lyashenko, said.

He said that in Jan-February Belarus executed its obligations on oil products supply to Russia – 140 thousand tons of gasoline were exported. In March the supplies were terminated.

“In March when the situation with the economy of the supplies changed (fall of export profitability), we turned to the amendments in our agreements presupposing a shutdown in case of profitability fall until consultations and development of additional measures”, the chairman said.

Mr. Lyashenko said that Belarus sells its oil products via the electronic site, “so any interested buyers purchase these volumes via the site”.

Belarus reduced the volumes of oil products supply to Russia. Moscow said it didn’t intend to take similar measures as a response.
