SOCAR is ready to extend the terms of acceptance of offers for the financing of the oil refinery STAR in Izmir

The final date for proposals for the financing of the construction of then oil refinery STAR in Izmir is March 31st. They are holding negotiations with the commercial banks, vice-president of SOCAR for Economic Affairs S.Gasymov said.
“If we do not complete negotiations during the stated period, we will extend the term of the taking of proposals,” S.Gasymov said.
The area of an oil refinery STAR in Izmir will make up 20 million square meters, 1news.az reports.
The plant will be built near the main production capacities of Petkim in order to supply naphtha, produced at the oil refinery, to the plants. There will be laid a pipeline between the oil processing plant and Petkim.
