Russian Ministry of Finance discusses dramatic reduction of export duty on oil and MET increase from 2015

The Ministry of Finance has discussed change of parameters of tax manoeuvers in the oil industry – a reduction of export duty on crude oil will be more dramatic, but concurrently MET will be increased dramatically, the Vedomosti writes on Tuesday, referring to three federal officials and employees of oil companies.

The Ministry of Finance changes the MET rates and size of the duty gradually, but from 2015 Russia won’t be able to set any restrictions – quotas or compensations – for the other two members of the Customs Union (Kazakhstan and Belarus).
