Russia has filed a claim to Supreme Court of London on collection of $3 bln by euro bonds from the Ukraine

Russia doesn’t hope for a positive result of the negotiations by the Ukraine’s debt.

On Feb 17th 2016 the Ministry of Finance of Russia filed a claim to the Supreme Court of London on the collection of the debt from the Ukraine with the sovereign bonds for $3 bln.

The Minister of Finance, A. Siluanov, said that Russia is tired of waiting the decision from the Ukraine on the voluntary payment of $3 bln.

We have repeatedly said of our readiness to discuss an opportunity of the 2-party pretrial regulation of the issue of settlement of obligations by the Ukraine before Russia.

Unfortunately the Ukraine is not ready to negotiate.

So the only settlement is to address to Court, A. Siluanov said.

The proceedings at the London Court will be open and transparent.
