The gas pipeline projects, which consider Russian gas transit to the EU beyond the Ukraine, do not consider the construction of underground gas storages.
The Ukraine offers Europe its gas transmission network instead of the South Stream. Naftogaz Ukrainy names the privileges of the system. First of all it is technical readiness compared to the South Stream, which needs investments and it is only under construction. What is more the EU can get an access to the underground storages, besides the pipeline. The EU will be able to form its own fuel resources.
