Gazprom has succeeded in protection of its interests on the shelf for the second time already

The Russian Government has granted again the shelf sites on the non-tender basis to the state companies Gazprom and Rosneft. However they have conflicted this time. In particular, Rosneft appealed for the East Siberian 1 and 2 sites belonging to the Northern Vrangelevsky site for which Gazprom appealed as well. Later the companies agreed that Rosneft holds East Siberian 1 and Gazprom holds East Siberian 2, and later it turned real. Gazprom was granted the license for the whole Northern Vrangelevsky with exception for East Siberian 2 where Rosneft will operate.
