Chelyabinsk Region puts into operation one of the largest Russian mining and concentration complexes in the world

Mikheevsky mining and concentration complex is put into operation in the South of the Chelyabinsk Region today, the Governor’s press service reported.

“Large projects stimulate development of economy and related industries”, the Governor Mikhail Yurevich said. “The new complex will have multiplicative effect for the economy of the Chelyabinsk Region. The region forms the closed cycle of copper production and processing. Non-ferrous metallurgy will become the basic industry in South Ural. Besides, the complex will replenish the regional budget due to the taxes and provide for new well-paid working positions, this is very important to the rural area where the complex is situated”.
