Ministry of Natural Resources wants Lukoil to start the development of East-Taymyr subsoil site in winter. Does Rosneft agree?

The Ministry of Natural Resources will renew the procedure of the issue of license to Lukoil-Western Siberia for the development of the onshore part of the East-Taymyr subsoil site.

The agency hopes the company will start the development of the site in winter.

The Minister of Natural Resources, S. Donskoi, said that the renewal of the procedure of the license issue became possible after the decision of the Arbitration Court of Moscow.

On November 16th 2015 by the decision of the Arbitration Court of Moscow proved Lukoil-Western Siberia the legal winner of the tender for the development of the onshore part of the East-Taymyr deposit.

The court also terminated the interim measures on the blocking of the license issue.

Rosneft’s application to prove illegal the decision of the tender committee of Rosnedra was rejected.

The decision of the Arbitration Court of Moscow hasn’t come into force as yet.

Rosneft might appeal the decision as it has many questions to Rosnedra.
