KAZ Minerals agrees with contractor on postponement of payment of $300 million

Group KAZ Minerals, the largest copper producer in Kazakhstan, has reached an agreement with the company Non Ferrous China (NFC), its main contractor, which carries out construction at growth projects, to postpone the payment of $300 million within the project on development of the Aktogay deposit in the East Kazakhstan region, the press centre of KAZ Minerals reports.

"This amount was planned to be paid in 2016 and 2017 for the construction activities. Under the revised terms, the payment will be made in the first six months of 2018," - the press release notes.
