The Ukraine receives guarantees of gas reverse supplies from Slovakia

Slovakia has guaranteed reverse gas supplies to the Ukraine regardless of the reduction of gas supplies from Russia. The agreement was reached at the negotiations between the presidents of Ukraine and Slovakia - Petr Poroshenko and Andrei Kiska.

Poroshenko stated about receipt of guarantees of reverse gas supplies from Slovakia by Kiev at the joint press conference with Slovak leader after the talks in Bratislava, the press centre of the Ukrainian president reports.

According to Poroshenko, Kiev "received clear assurances that the issues of reverse and provision of the Ukraine with European gas will clearly fulfilled by Slovak partners". Poroshenko said that with the participation of Hungary, Poland and Slovakia the Ukraine would create a gas hub, "which will make the gas issue not a mean of pressure, but a market mechanism".
