Lithuania rather buy Norwegian LNG than gas from Russia

Lithuania will rather pay by 10% more for the Norwegian LNG in January-September 2015 than for the Russian gas, Litgas forecasts, on the basis of the analysis of fthe utures contracts. Vesti Economiki writes.

So, the price of LNG of Statoil may make up 950-1250 litas for 1 thousand cubic meters after the pumping into the terminal in Klaipeda. Lithuanian company reports and reminds it concluded a contract with Statoil on a supply of 950 thousand tons of LNG in August. It is equivalent to 540 million cubic metres of natural gas.

The price does not include the extra cost and engineering costs of Litgas. The company suggests to be guided by 1.1 thousand litas per 1 thousand cubic meters (appr. $400) during 2015.
