Investigation Committee accused V. Evtushenkov of money laundering and placed him under house arrest

The Investigation Committee has arrested the chairman of the Board of Directors of AFK Systema, V. Evtushenkov, and the Basman Court has placed him under house arrest for 2 months in the village of Zhukovka. Mr. Evtushenkov is incriminated in the legalization of the stolen shares of the enterprises of the Fuel and Energy sector of Bashkortostan, illegally privatized and then sold to AFK Systema by the son of the ex- President of Bashkortostan, U. Rakhimov. The latter is planned to be arrested soon to be extradited from Austria.
