Max petroleum reports presence of oil in another well at the Uitas field

The British company Max petroleum Plc, which explores and produces oil and gas in Kazakhstan, has reported results of the drilling at the Uitas field in western Kazakhstan.

According to the report, the 200 meter depth was reached at the appraisal well UTS -16 of the Uitas field and a three-meter oil formation in reservoir of the Aptian stage of the Cretaceous period with interval of over 33 meters at the depth of 111-144 meters was discovered. The reservoir quality is excellent. The company plans to launch the well in the near future.
