Statoil not to be able to provide Europe with gas instead of Russia

Norwegian oil company Statoil won’t be able to replace Russian gas by their own supplies in case of termination of its exports to Europe because of the possible escalation of the conflict between Russia and the Ukraine. This was announced by Statoil’s CEO Helge Lund at the World Petroleum Congress in Moscow today.
