Gazpromneft to approve program of geological exploration at the North-Vrangel site in the Arctic in 2015

Gazpromneft intends to approve the geological exploration program at the North-Vrangel site on the Arctic shelf of the East Siberian and Chukchi Seas in 2015, the first deputy general director of the company, Vadim Yakovlev reported at the World Petroleum Congress.

He noted that this was one of the largest sites on the shelf with area of ​​110 sq km and resource potential of over 1 billion tons. "The challenge of the next year is formation and approval of the geological exploration program. Including, in the next year, we plan to start the survey," - said Yakovlev.
