Gazprom awaits the tender for OPAL pipeline on July 15th, the Deputy Chairman of Management Board, A. Medvedev says. It has been coordinated with the German regulator as well. The EC is interested in loading of OPAL. Earlier ITAR-TASS reported referring to the chief of Wintershall Russia, M. Meren that the decision on the enlargement of OPAL, the onshore extension of Nord Stream should be agreed before July 14th. They closed all the necessary documentation in November, and the EC and the owners of the pipeline Gazprom and Wintershall had achieved all compromise agreements. However in February the EC claimed for additional documents. On April 30th, the EC noted that it would send its decision on July 14, Mr. Meren says. Wintershall claims that the second tender on OPAL’s capacities can be hold in 2014.
