Expert: Conversion of transport to gas-motor fuel is profitable for Gazprom, though the program seems not circumspect enough

The worsening economic situation makes the leaders of the country look for the measures to satisfy both the appetites of  business and  of the monopolies, Nezavisimaya Gazeta reports.

Last Friday Vladimir Putin ordered the government to submit the proposals about the limitation of the growth of natural monopolies’ tariffs by September 1st and on Saturday he demanded to submit the proposals about the subsidizing of the regions from the budget in order to purchase the machinery working on gas-motor fuel. This is the obvious advantage for Gazprom which will expand  internal consumption considerably. Though, this is not the only advantage: the Federal Tariff Service proposed to increase the gas tariffs for industrial consumers by 3% from August 1. Then an increase of the prices of power energy, services etc. will come.
