Gazprom’s production falls, but net profit grows

In the first quarter of this year, the Gazprom’s production of natural fuel was by 3% less than in the same period last year: 112.85 billion cubic meters against 116.3 billion cubic meters in 2015. This is according to the company’s report under RAS.

However, in the first quarter of last year, the net profit of the holding company was by 29% higher than last year and amounted to 187 billion rubles. It is noteworthy that the gross margin fell by 6.2% in comparison with 2015 and amounted to 600.2 billion rubles. The total revenue also declined by 2.6% - 1.18 trillion against 1.22 trillion rubles in 2015.
