In Q1, Polymetal reduced gold production by 3%

In the first quarter of 2015, Polymetal Int’s gold production decreased by 3% to 186 thousand ounces (5.785 tons), silver - by 7% to 6.8 million ounces (211.5 tons) as compared to the same period in 2014, a quarterly report of the company unforms.

In January-March, Polymetal didn’t produce copper, while the previous year in the same period the production of copper made up 709 tons. The total production in the reporting period in terms of gold equivalent decreased by 5% to 299 thousand ounces (9.3 metric tons). The company explains the reduction by the planned drop in contents at the Dukat and Omolon deposits (Magadan region) and the temporary suspension of the flotation section at Varvara.
