Power Machines has produced a lot of hydro equipment for Serbian power plant Jerdap-1

​Power Machines has produced and tested the functioning of the working wheel of the hydro turbine meant for the 4th out of 6 hydro units of the water power plant Jerdap-1. On the results of the successfully held tests the equipment was accepted by the client – representatives of the Serbian plant.

Currently a 300-ton working wheel is being prepared for shipment which is planned for the end of March 2016. Its assembly at the plant will start in the summer 2016, the putting into operation of the new unit is planned for Q1 2017.

The contract for the supply of turbines and a generator with the capacity of 201 mW for the first hydro unit of the plant, as well as for running a complex of works on the renewal of a part of the existing hydro equipment with the increase of capacity of each of 5 remaining hydro units of the plant from 174 to 201 mW was signed by Power Machines, “Eletrokhozyaistvo of Serbia” and Jerdap in 2003. By now 3 hydro units have been put into operation. The termination of works is planned for 2019. After the renewal the technical resource of the equipment of the water power plant will be extended for 30 years, and that will increase the annual generation of electric energy to 500 mln kWh.
