Rosneft confirms compatibility of mineral and synthetic oil during transportation

Specialists of Corporate Research Center RN-TsIR have developed laboratory method of determining the compatibility of mineral and synthetic oil. This work was conducted as part of a project to build the first pilot industrial plant of GTL (Gas-to-liquid) in Russia.

On the basis of the research the experts confirmed the compatibility of mineral oil with the products, obtained by Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. The experimental works shown the stability of mixtures of different types of oil with synthetic oil, as well as their suitability for transportation through main oil pipelines.
