Krasnodar scientists develop unit for gas purification that has no analogues in Russia
Employees of the Research Institute for Processing of Associated Petroleum Gas (Krasnodar region) have developed a device for cleaning of gas from water and solids, surpassing domestic analogues in efficiency, and foreign - in cost. This was reported in the Institute.
The separation element, designed by the Kuban specialists, consists of a swirl, where gas is fed and where it spins in a spiral, shell (shell of separation element), skimmer, outputting the separated moisture and particulate matter, as well as a central body of improved design. "The design of the central body can improve the cleaning efficiency and avoid re-entrainment of small drops," - general director of the Institute Andrei Gaidar says.
