Russian pipe producers assess Gazprom’s need in large diameter pipes in 2015-2017 at 2 mln tons

The Russian pipe companies assess Gazprom’s consumption of large diameter pipes at 2 mln tons a year in 2015-2017, the head of the Fund of Pipe Industry Development of Russia, O. Kalinsky said.

According to him, the Russian pipe companies haven’t received any official notifications on the change of conditions of pipe supplies for South Stream.

“Meanwhile we ship by the existing contracts and wait for explanations”, Mr. Kalinsky said.

In 2014 the Fund of Pipe Industry Development assesses the Russian pipe market at 10.3 mln tons, including 2.4 mln tons of large diameter pipes, 1.15 mln tons of export and 620 thousand tons of imports.
