Companies that not fallen under sanctions take credits in the West easy

Russian companies, including large ones, which didn’t fall under sanctions of the EU and the USA, still continue to take credits in European and American banks, the Bloomberg reports.

Thus, in December Russian gas corporation Gazprom, according to the agency, received a loan from Italian bank UniCredit SpA. The loan amount was 390 million euro. Let’s recall that the sanctions list includes a subsidiary of the group, namely Gazpromneft.

Such banks as Citigroup Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co. and six more banks provided a loan to Russian bank Otkrytie. Moreover, it should be noted that the interest rates on such loans are sometimes even lower than for borrowers from other countries. Such information is contained in the Bloomberg’s report.
