By the beginning of 2015, Rosneft’s refineries to completely switch to Euro-5

By the end of 2015, Rosneft plans to transfer all of its refineries to the production of Euro-5 fuel. During the year, the company managed to increase the share of Euro-4 and Euro-5 in the processing from 55.9% to 80%.

Now Rosneft manages 11 large Russian oil refineries (each with the capacity of over 1 million tons), last year they managed to process 87 million tons - more than a third of the whole Russian oil refining. Moreover, all these plants prepare to switch or have already switched to more environmentally friendly fuel classes.

The modernization program includes more than 30 projects of the construction and reconstruction of the rerefineries with capacity of over 40 million tons per year. In 2014, the modern refineries were built and launched at the Novokuibyshev refinery, Kuibyshev, Ryazan, Syzran, Saratov and Tuapse refineries.
