UC Rusal promises to spend 367.9 million rubles on the decrease of emissions from the Irkutsk aluminium plant

UC Rusal plans to allocate 367.9 million rubles in the next three years to upgrade the gas-cleaning unit at the Irkutsk aluminium plant (IrkAZ).

According to the plan on decrease of pollutant emissions, approved by the Ministry for Nature Management of the Irkutsk region, in 2013-2015 7 electrofilters at the 3rd and 4th lines and the 6th foaming apparatused at the 3rd pot lines will be replaced at the plant. At the beginning of October of 2013, the replacement of the old electrofilter by the new one, of horizontal model, was carried out at the IrkAZ’s 4th line. The cost of the project made up 60 million rubles. It’s planned to buy one more electrofilter before the end of the year, which will be mounted in 2014.
