Control of the safety of oil extraction and transportation in the RF to be strengthened

The RF government charged the ministries and departments with strengthening of the control of oil extraction and transportation safety, including the shelf. The PM, Dmitry Medvedev gave the corresponding instructions at the meeting in Astrakhan at the beginning of October.

The Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision, the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Use, the Federal Transportation Inspection Service and the Ministry of Energy were charged with preparing the proposals about the strengthening of the state control in the sphere of hydrocarbon extraction and transportation safety. Particularly, the departments must prepare the proposals about the administrative procedure for control and supervision of sea objects. The proposals must be submitted to the government by December 5th, 2013.
