Ex-President of BP: perspectives of shale deposits development in Siberia are under threat

The oil price will soon start to grow again on the background of the falling production that may seriously affect the USA and EU, the ex-President of BP, T. Hayward warns.

He thinks the oil prices will grow in the near future due to the fact that the US and EU sanctions won’t allow Russia to fully develop the Arctic shelf and shale oil reserves. Mr. Hayward also called not to hope for oil production growth in the USA. According to him, the world community is full of a spurious safety feeling due to the recent American shale boom, because of which the oil production in the USA rose by 60% from 2008.
