Gazprom: the construction of two drilling rigs for the Shtokman project are completed

The construction and testing of the rigs "Polar Star" and "Northern Lights", designed to work at the Shtokman gas condensate field, are completed. This is stated in the message of Gazprom.
In November 2007, in the result of an open tender of OOO Gazflot"(100 per cent subsidiary company of Gazprom ) and OAO Vyborg Shipbuilding Plant signed a contract.
The platforms are designed for operation in harsh climatic conditions, low temperatures, and wave heights up to 32 meters. They are also able to carry out exploration and development drilling of oil and gas wells up to 7.5 thousand meters at a depth of 70-500 meters.
