Gazprom to prepare new project of Kovykta development taking into account reserves of Khandinsky and Chikansky sites by October-November

Gazprom will prepare new draft documents on the development of the Kovykta field (the Irkutsk region), taking into account the reserves of the Khandinsky and Chikansky sites by October-November 2014, the chief of the Gazprom’s Department of Gas, Gas Condensate and Oil, Vsevolod Cherepanov reported to journalists.

"The project will be ready by October-November. After the approval by the Directorate-General for State Environmental Review in 2015, the full documents will be ready,” - he said.

According to the gas monopoly’s deputy chairman, Vitaly Markelov, in the future it’s planned to develop the fields as the reserves of the single Kovykta field.
