Gazprom and Shell are going to jointly explore and develop shale oil deposits in the Khanti-Mansi autonomous area, they announced at the meeting of their top managers. Currently Shell and Gazprom Neft are founding a joint venture. It’s going to get licenses for several deposits in the area. The chief of Gazprom A. Miller and the chief of Shell P. Voser study the opportunity for execution of joint projects at the Russian Arctic shelf and deep-water shelf in the third states.
