Gazprom’s costs for providing transit of 30 billion cubic meters of gas through the Ukraine may reach $43 billion, said head of the company Alexei Miller.
In his speech at the SPIEF, he noted that Russia heard a lot of calls to preserve the gas transit to Europe through the Ukraine, and stressed that he didn’t see the point in it because of the additional costs, the amount of which could range from $25 to $43 billion. According to Miller, we must first find out who will compensate for these costs, as Nord Stream-2 reduces the price of the gas transit by 20%.
