Arbitration Court of Kemerovo has rejected a claim against Mechel on the collection of 4.2 bln roubles

​The Arbitration Court of Kemerovo has rejected the claim of “Rudservice” against “Yuzhny Kuzbass” (in the structure of Mechel). This is the 5th claim filed by Rudservice since last December. The claimant thinks that it had losses due to the non-execution of obligations by the supply agreements by Yuzhny Kuzbass.

The Arbitration Court of the Kemerovo region has rejected the claim of Rudservice Ltd, majority shareholder of “Tomusinsky Mine” OJSC, on the collection of 4.2 bln roubles from the majority shareholder - Yuzhny Kuzbass.

The basis for this claim is not released. However, Rudservice has filed 4 claims against Yuzhny Kuzbass on the collection of losses for the total amount of over 23 bln roubles in December 2014-April 2015, one of the claims – on the collection of 7.6 bln roubles – has been considered by the Court of first instance.
