Serbia states that nothing threatens the construction of South Stream.

Serbia is interested in the implementation of the "South Stream" project and is constantly monitoring the situation around it, stated Aleksandar Antić, the Minister of Energy and he Mining Industry of the Republic, ITAR-TASS reported.

"We are ready to enter into the matter, but it’s not Serbia who makes the final decision about the fate of the entire "South Stream" project. The EU and Russia will do this, and we believe in a positive outcome", - the Serbian news agency Tanjug quoted Antić on Monday.

The minister stated that Serbia is interested in the implementation of the "South Stream", as "we are talking about one of the major infrastructure projects in Europe that would bring Serbia greater benefit and energy security". Antic added that the rejection of the project would be negative not only for Serbia, but also for a number of other countries included in the "South Stream"project
