In Q1, Russia increased gold production by 8% to 50.8 tons

In January-March 2016, Russian enterprises produced 50.815 tons of gold, mined and produced in associated production, including processing of scrap and waste, as well as in concentrates, this is by about 8% more than in the same period of 2015, the Union of Russian Gold Producers reports.

In particular, the production of gold, mined by companies, increased by 5% to 37.508 tons, by-production of non-ferrous metals gave 3.514 tons, which is by 16% less than in January-March 2015. 9.145 tons of gold were obtained after the processing of waste and scrap (+ 40%), the production of gold in concentrate increased by 7% to 648 kg.
