Kiev stopped gas imports from Poland

​The Ukraine has stopped gas import from Poland due to the planned repair of the gas transportation system, the press secretary of Ukrtransgas, M. Belyavsky, said.

Today we start the planned repair at the gas pipeline by which gas is imported from Poland to the Ukraine… The works are held at the Komarno-Drozdovichi gas pipeline and are planned to be held for 2 months, he said.

Within that period it is planned to repair about 4 km of gas pipelines. The repair works will not influence on gas transit for European consumers, only on reverse supplies to the Ukraine.

During the period of repair works gas will be imported by the Slovakia and Hungary corridors.

According to Ukrtransgas, gas volume at the underground gas storages of the Ukraine as of May 4th 2016 made up 8.7 bln cubic m, by 0.14 bln more than in 2015.
